Step 1: AI Initiates the Chat
Summaro AI: "Hello! I'm your data visual assistant, and I'm here to help you create a Gantt Chart. To get started, please tell me which spreadsheet you'd like to use, or if you'd like to see a list of available spreadsheets."
Step 2: User Selects Spreadsheet
User: “Gantt Data”
Summaro AI: “I've accessed the "Gantt Data" spreadsheet and found a sheet named "Project 1".”
Step 3: AI Suggests Configurations
Summaro AI: “Based on your data, I suggest these visual configurations for a Gantt Chart:
Configuration 1:
Task ID: task_description (Column B)
Task Name: task_category (Column A)
Start Date: start_date (Column D)
Due Date: due_date (Column E)
Assignee: assignee (Column C)
Progress: progress (Column G)
Configuration 2:
Task ID: task_category (Column A)
Task Name: task_description (Column B)
Start Date: start_date (Column D)
Due Date: due_date (Column E)
Assignee: assignee (Column C)
Progress: progress (Column G)
Which configuration would you like to use, or do you have something else in mind?”
Step 4: User Confirms
User: "Use Configuration 2."
Step 5: AI Requests Styling Preferences
Summaro AI: “Now, let's talk about some formatting options:
Would you like to apply conditional highlighting based on the progress of each task? This can show you at a glance which tasks are delayed, in progress, or almost done.
Do you want to apply work status highlighting? This will highlight tasks based on their start and due dates.
Would you like to highlight the task with the longest duration? If so, what color would you prefer?
Would you like to highlight the task with the shortest duration? If so, what color would you prefer?
Would you like to highlight the task with the highest progress? If so, what color would you prefer?”
Step 6: User Sets Styling Preferences
User: “Set the following colors: Delayed as #4267B2, In Progress as #3872FA, and Almost Done as #1DA1F2. Enable work status highlighting. Highlight the longest duration with #E1306C, shortest duration with #10B981, and most progress with #8f71ff.”
Step 7: AI Confirms and Saves Configuration
Summaro AI: “Great! I've saved your Gantt Chart configuration with the following settings:
Task ID: task_category (Column A)
Task Name: task_description (Column B)
Start Date: start_date (Column D)
Due Date: due_date (Column E)
Assignee: assignee (Column C)
Progress: progress (Column G)
Work Status Highlighting: Enabled
Progress Conditional Highlighting:
Delayed: #4267B2 (for progress below 25%)
In Progress: #3872FA (for progress below 75%)
Almost Done: #1DA1F2 (for progress 75% and above)
Longest Duration Highlight: #E1306C
Shortest Duration Highlight: #10B981
Highest Progress Highlight: #8f71ff
You can check your dashboard to see your new Gantt Chart!”
Step 8: Offer to Save as Preset
Summaro AI: “Would you like to save this conversation as a preset for future use? This would allow you to quickly recreate this visual or similar ones.”
User: “Yes, create a preset.” (optional)
Usage Notes
- Three progress levels (Delayed, In Progress, Almost Done).
- Dependencies basic – no drag-linking.
- Use clean dates (YYYY-MM-DD).
- If you add new rows or columns in your data source, you need to edit the visual and update the mapping to show the latest data.
